On the eve of the Holy Nativity, we prepare the traditional Christmas Eve dishes with "Compirin", of course! In this way we enrich our festive table with the essential ketoacids from potato juice and once again we are convinced of the fact that "Compirin" is a perfect addition to a variety of dishes... and why not to desserts?

We chose to prepare beans, lean hearts with sauerkraut and pumpkin pie. For these three recipes we will use a total of one bottle (1l) of "Compirin". Let's get started!

The first dish we will start with is the beans.

Some people like to cook it all day in a pot, dump several times the water in which it boils, and others just solve the problem with a ready-made can or jar. Well, we love the tabbies too, but in this case we've chosen the happy medium and will cook our Christmas Eve beans in a pressure cooker. Here are the necessary ingredients:

  1. 500g. Beans.
  2. 250ml "Compirin"
  3. 1 larger carrot
  4. 1 onion
  5. 1 red pepper
  6. 4-5 garlic cloves
  7. 1 tbsp mint
  8. 1 tsp sweet paprika
  9. 4 pp. GCH
  10. Salt to taste

Soak the beans in water from the night before. The next day, strain into a colander and pour into the pressure cooker. Add the chopped vegetables, spices and fat to the beans. Pour over 250 ml. "Compirin" and top up with water. Close the pressure cooker and place on the hob at maximum heat. Once boiling, reduce to medium heat and cook for an hour. The beans are even tastier after standing overnight in the refrigerator, so consider making them a day ahead.

And now, from the easiest to the most twisted recipe for Christmas Eve - the lean hearts with sauerkraut.

Necessary products:

  1. 1 small pickled cabbage
  2. 500 ml. "Compirin"
  3. 1 tsp basmati rice
  4. 1 leek
  5. 4 pp. GCH
  6. bay leaf
  7. 1 tsp red pepper
  8. ½ tsp black pepper
  9. Dewy savory to the eye
  10. Salt to taste

Heat the oil and fry the chopped leeks. Add the rice, stir briefly and season with paprika, pepper and savory. Pour over about 150 ml. Stir until slightly swollen. Remove the filling from the heat and leave to cool.

Once the filling has cooled down, proceed to rolling the serms. Separate the veins from the cabbage leaves and shape them so they are suitable for turning into sermi. Wrap and arrange medium sized hearts in a yen pot or casserole dish lined at the bottom with cabbage leaves. You can add a few raisins to the filling when turning. Finally, break up a few bay leaves, pour over the remaining 'Compirin' and cabbage juice until the sarmons are coated. Add another 2 tbsp. GHEE. Close the dish in which we will bake with a lid and place in a cold oven. Bake for 30 minutes at 200 degrees and another hour at 180 degrees.

And now that our main dishes are ready, let's proceed to the preparation of the favorite traditional Christmas Eve pie - the pumpkin pie.

Necessary products:

  1. 500 g. Pumpkin
  2. Fine toasted pie crusts
  3. 250ml. "Compirin"
  4. 100g. Walnuts
  5. 3 tbsp breadcrumbs or fine oats
  6. 1 tsp cinnamon
  7. 1p. vanilla
  8. ½ cup melted Ghee
  9. Sugar for the filling
  10. Powdered sugar when serving

To prepare the filling for our pie, grate the pumpkin and place in a saucepan over medium heat. Pour 250 ml. Compirin and simmer until the pumpkin is soft and the liquid from the potato juice is reduced. After removing from heat, season with cinnamon, vanilla and sugar. The amount of sugar needed depends on how sweet the pumpkin itself is, so add to taste. Add the pre-crushed walnuts and breadcrumbs.

Our filling is ready and we start turning the pie. We line a baking tray with baking paper and turn on our oven to 180 degrees.

Brush each crust with a little fat and fold it in half. Spread the filling at one end of the crust, roll it up, then form a small rosette and arrange it on the baking tray. Roll up the remaining crusts in the same way. Brush the pumpkin rolls with oil and bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes or until the patties are golden brown. We use this way of turning the pumpkin as it allows for the most even and quick baking. The result is crispy and very appetizing. When serving, sprinkle the already cooled pumpkin with icing sugar.

Our fast dishes for the festive evening are ready. Everything is incredibly tasty and even more importantly - enriched with the invaluable plant proteins of potato juice. It remains to see for yourself by preparing your Christmas Eve dishes with "Compirin" . We wish you a Merry Christmas and a healthy New Year 2025.
