Quick, easy, spicy and filling, Arabic Lentils with Kompirin is one of our favorite recipes to date. Here's how you can prepare this absolute classic of Arabic cuisine at home.

Necessary products:

1 onion

1 carrot

250 g. Red lentils

250-300 ml. "Cucumber"

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp curry

1 tsp turmeric

Salt to taste

1 tbsp GHI

Method of preparation:

Peel and chop the onion and carrot. Heat 1 tbsp. GHI and stew the vegetables for about 10 minutes at a moderate temperature. Why GHI? Because it is one of the best fats you can use for cooking, and it has long been well-known and revered in Arab cuisine.

Add the lentils to the vegetables, pour 250-300 ml. Potatoes and add about 1,200 liters of warm water. Season with a teaspoon each of cumin, curry and turmeric, and salt to your taste. Let the ingredients boil at a moderate temperature for about 30 minutes. Finally mash. When serving, you can add a little more cumin to each serving.
